Story Overview
Clay, a gifted but rebellious apprentice in a decaying, domed city, is blackmailed by a cyberpunk gang into a high-stakes heist against the ruling elite. His mission is complicated by his growing feelings for Naledi, a girl from the oppressed "Seed" class, forcing him to confront his society's deep-seated prejudice. When his actions shatter the fragile peace—and the sky itself—Clay must survive the ensuing chaos and decide where his true loyalties lie.
Setting
The story is set a quarter of a millennium after a devastating war, within "The Grail," a massive domed city constructed to protect humanity from a toxic outer world. The society is technologically advanced, featuring hover bikes, cybernetic enhancements, and robotic guardians called ELFs. Life is organized into distinct Zones, each with its own culture and function, all centered around the colossal Voltaic Tower in Zone 1. The environment ranges from the opulent, high-tech elegance of the Tower and Zone 1 to the industrial, steam-powered Zone 3, and the dilapidated, scrap-metal slums of Zone 6, home to the mutated outcasts known as Seeds.
